Father Friendly Check-Up™ for Business

The Assessment

Father Friendly Check-Up™ for Business will help you determine the “health” of your current business environment as it relates to helping working fathers find work and family balance. The assessment is designed to help you take a business approach to creating a better environment that not only helps your working fathers succeed, but that ultimately helps your business excel and succeed in today’s modern world of work.

The assessment will take you through the following categories:
  • Leadership and Business Philosophy
  • Management Training
  • Human Resource Programs and Policies
  • Community/Marketplace Perception of the Business
You will apply these assessment categories to your business’ employee-directed efforts (i.e., programs, services or benefits) – just as a physician diagnoses a patient. This assessment will also encourage you to examine your own attitudes about enhancing the operations of your business to meet the growing needs of fathers and their families.

Assessment Checklists

You will complete a series of checklists – one for each assessment category – as the assessment progresses. Use your gut reaction to assess your business on each statement. You might discover that you can check only a few boxes in each category. If that’s the case, don’t worry: a low score is not an indictment of your business as being unfriendly toward dads. You might find that your business includes fathers to a high degree in certain ways, but not in others. Use this assessment to identify areas for improvement, no matter what you discover.

Your Father-Friendly Prescription

After completing the assessment, you will receive a customized “prescription” complete with no cost and low-cost strategies for making your business father friendly.
