Customized Workshops

If our standard workshops don’t meet your needs, National Fatherhood Initiative can customize workshops to meet the needs of any organization or conference.  Our staff has delivered hundreds of customized workshops at conferences and organizations across the country.  We have designed workshops on topics ranging from working effectively with urban fathers to mobilizing an entire community to confront the problem of father absence.

Half Day vs. Full Day

Difference between half-day and full-day versions of the following workshops:

The half-day versions allow for greater flexibility in delivering the vital information provided during these workshops. The half-day versions are ideal to include as a staff in-service workshop, as a pre-conference or post-conference workshop, or as a concurrent session at a conference.

The key difference in the half-day and full-day versions lies in the style of delivery of the information. National Fatherhood Initiative uses a lecture-style format with question and answer sessions to deliver the half-day versions and an accelerated learning, interactive format to deliver the full-day versions. Research shows that the retention of information by workshop participants is enhanced by the interactive nature and the organization of passive and active forms of learning that are the hallmarks of accelerated learning.

Workshop Prices

National Fatherhood Initiative charges a per-participant fee for our workshops. The fee varies depending on the workshop and its length, and costs vary from workshop to workshop (e.g., training facility and audio-visual costs). We can also quote a flat fee for organizations that want us to train their staffs or for National Fatherhood Initiative to deliver a workshop at a conference, meeting, or other event. The flat fee will be based on the number of participants that an organization wants us to train.

Regardless of the fee, it covers the trainer(s) fee(s), trainer(s) preparation time, travel costs, all workshop materials (e.g., participant workbooks and handouts), and the shipment of materials to the workshop facility. Organizations interested in scheduling an National Fatherhood Initiative workshop must recruit workshop participants and provide a training facility and food/refreshments (an important consideration for a full day or two-day workshop).
