How do I install B2D™ on my computer and get started?

For PC Users:

1. Insert the CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. Please note: single user licenses require the CD-ROM to be in your CD-ROM drive in order to run the program.
2. The CD-ROM will run automatically. From the installation menu, click on “Install Program” and follow the installation instructions. Please note: you will have the option to select “Run from CD-ROM” or “Run from Hard Drive.” Choose “Run from Hard Drive” for best performance (this may take several minutes to install and requires 600 MB free space).
3. Once you have installed the program, click the “Exit” button to close the installation screen and double click on the Boyz 2 Dads™ icon on your desktop. The game introduction will launch.
4. After the introduction, you will see the “How to Use Boyz 2 Dads™” screen. Click on the User Guide option that best describes your relationship with the teen.
5. Read and print the User Guide (You will need to refer to it to use the Discussion Starter questions).
6. Close the User Guide.
7. Click on the “Boyz 2 Dads™ Program & Game Play Overview.” Read and print the overview. Close the overview and click on “Continue.”
8. When you’re ready to have the teen start the Boyz 2 Dads™ program, have him enter his name and click “Continue.”
9. After the teen makes his music selection and clicks “Continue,” Level One will begin.

 

For Macintosh Users:

To run game from the CD:

1. Insert the CD into your drive. The Boyz 2 Dads™ window will appear on your desktop.
2. Double click the “Launch Boyz 2 Dads™” icon to launch the program.
3. Read and accept license agreement.
4. After the introduction, you will see the “How to Use Boyz 2 Dads™” screen. Click on the User Guide option that best describes your relationship with the teen.
5. Read and print the User Guide (You will need to refer to it to use the Discussion Starter questions).
6. Close the User Guide.
7. Click on the “Boyz 2 Dads™ Program & Game Play Overview.” Read and print the overview. Close the overview and click on “Continue.”
8. When you’re ready to have the teen start the Boyz 2 Dads™ program, have him enter his name and click “Continue.”
9. After the teen makes his music selection and clicks “Continue,” Level One will begin.

To run game from the hard drive (best performance):

1. Insert the CD into your drive. The Boyz 2 Dads™ window will appear on your desktop.
2. Drag the Boyz 2 Dads™ folder to your desktop or the Applications folder on your hard disk (600 MB free space).
3. In the Applications folder (or desktop if you moved the folder there) on your hard disk, open the Boyz 2 Dads™ folder and double click the “Launch Boyz 2 Dads™ icon to launch the program.
4. Read and accept license agreement.
5. After the introduction, you will see the “How to Use Boyz 2 Dads™” screen. Click on the User Guide option that best describes your relationship with the teen.

Why doesn’t the program install on my computer?

Check that your CD drive is working and that the bottom of the CD is not scratched or dirty. If the program does not Auto run when you place the CD in the drive, double click on “My Computer” and double click on the CD icon to launch the installation program.

How do I pause the game or move to previous or subsequent levels?

B2D has included all the navigational buttons in the cell phone located at the lower left-hand corner of the game interface. The “pause,” “play,” “forward” and “backward” buttons work the same as on a DVD player. If you click on the “pause” button, simply click on the “play” button to resume. The “forward” and “backward” buttons will take you to the beginning of the previous level or to the next level.

Can I use this CD in a Playstation, Xbox or Game Boy?

No. B2D is compatible with PC and MAC computers, but not other videogame formats.

What is the difference between a Single User and a Volume User version of B2D?

A Single User version of B2D can only be used on one computer and includes a code that can only be unlocked when the disc is in your computer. A Volume User version can be used on up to 30 different computers.

Why don’t I hear any audio?

If you don’t hear any audio, check your speaker connections. Verify that sound is available by going to a site that you know has sound to see if it works.

Why do the colors look strange on my screen?

Make sure your monitor is set to at least 800 x 600 with High Color.

Why do the characters in the program move slow?

Check that your graphics card meets the minimum specifications detailed on the CD packaging. This game uses full motion 3D animation and will require a video card that can properly play standard video games that have 3D animation.
