About the Connections Project
The Connections Project is an initiative that focuses on the power of engaged fathers for successful reentry. Through webinars, training, and resources, The Connections Project aims to educate and equip facilitators with best practices that will reduce recidivism by helping to reconnect inmates with their families.
This project was created with a grant from the Bureau of Justice Assistance. National Fatherhood Initiative is dedicated to improving the well-being of children by increasing the proportion of children growing up with involved, responsible, and committed fathers. We offer a variety of tools and resources for supporting fathers in many diverse settings.
The Connections Project Advisory Committee
The Connections Project Advisory Committee provides
strategic direction and feedback to National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI) staff related
to the goal of engaging fathers for successful reentry. With this goal in mind, the Advisory
Committee helps facilitate connections to key individuals in the corrections
and reentry arenas, provides input on developing new resources for fathers and
practitioners working with fathers, and advises NFI on a variety of other matters
pertaining to the overall objective of The Connections Project.
