Brad Pitt Gains Stylish Cane While Being A Protective Dad

Hunky actor Brad Pitt has been seen with an accessory usually reserved for folks hobbled by advanced age or, in his case, an injury. After discussion in the media as to why the Moneyball star has been sporting his brand new cane, Pitt explained to a throng of reporters why he needs the walking stick this past Saturday (January 7).

I was carrying my daughter down the hill and I slipped,” Pitt shared with reporters at the 23rd International Palm Springs Film Festival in California. “It was either her or me.” In a heroic feat befitting one of his starring roles, Pitt broke a fall down a hill while carrying 3-year old Vivienne Jolie-Pitt. The fall resulted in a torn ACL for Pitt, but his partner Angelina Jolie seems to enjoy the new look Brad.

“I like the cane,” she told reporters, stopping to add that the injury hasn’t slowed Pitt. “He’s not that kind of guy. He does everything still.” Jolie said their daughter was fine after the tumble, even remarking she too sustained injuries while on Mom duty. “Vivie’s okay,” she said. “She was absolutely fine.”

Jolie went on to add, “I think all parents get injured in the line of fire. When Maddox was young, I fell and hurt my elbow. It’s a pretty common occurrence.”
