Dancing With The Stars Winner J.R. Martinez Preparing For Fatherhood

After conquering the dance floor on ABC’s reality show Dancing With The Stars, actor, motivational speaker and Army vet J.R. Martinez is set to join the ranks of fatherhood next year – and the dad-to-be couldn’t be happier.

After edging out fellow celebs Rob Kardashian and Ricki Lake, Martinez and his DWTS dance partner Karina Smirnoff nabbed the coveted mirror ball trophy as Martinez’s inspiring story of perseverance resonated with the crowd along with his nifty dance moves. Martinez, an Iraq War vet, suffered burns to 40 percent of his body after the Humvee he was driving hit an explosive. Martinez joined the cast of popular ABC soap opera All My Children in 2008, meeting his girlfriend and mom-to-be Diana Gonzalez-Jones on the set. After a two-year courtship, the pair made it official in 2010 and they’re expecting the arrival of their little girl in the spring. “We found out just last week it's a girl and we are over the moon," Martinez told People magazine in an exclusive interview. "Diana has a little baby bump now and it's the cutest thing ever. With the holidays coming up, this is the biggest and best gift we could get.”
