Michael Jackson Will Be Honored By Children In Los Angeles Ceremony
January 26, 2012
The memory of legendary entertainer Michael Jackson will live on, thanks in part to his three children who will participate in a ceremony to take place at the landmark Grauman's Chinese Theatre, which sits along the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Prince (known as Blanket), Paris and Michael, Jr. (known as Prince) will all immortalize their famous father in front of the iconic theater this Thursday (January 26) with handprint and footprint impressions using his signature sequined glove and shows on the Walk.
The ceremony is part of a promotional tie-in for Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour which debuts a day after the Walk of Fame gathering. Joining the Jackson children will be Michael’s mother Katherine Jackson, sons Tito, Marlon and Jackie along with a host of celebrities such as Justin Bieber, Smokey Robinson and Jackson’s producer Quincy Jones as well.
The Jackson children joined their grandmother at the Canadian debut of the travelling Cirque du Soleil show back in October. Michael Jackson’s Hollywood Walk Of Fame star sits on the sidewalk just in front of the theater as well.
The Immortal show will tour throughout the United States and Canada for the year before taking a long-term residence in Las Vegas at the conclusion of the promotion.
