Workshop Overview
The National Fatherhood Initiative offers a comprehensive one-day workshop that allows staff of public and private organizations to assess the degree to which their organization is “father friendly” toward dads as clients and employees.
This interactive workshop provides an opportunity to apply the assessment categories identified below to the operations of an organization. It also encourages staff to examine their own attitudes about serving the growing needs of fathers and their families.
The assessment categories include:
- Leadership & organizational philosophy
- Policies and procedures
- Physical environment
- Staff orientations and training
- Program/service/product content
- Social marketing strategies
- Community service
This workshop also raises awareness among staff of the importance of addressing the barriers that might exist in their organizations to becoming father friendly.
