Get Involved - Dads Make a Difference!
Hey Dad, do you realize how much of a difference you make in your child's life? Your involvement is key to helping your child have the best chance to succeed in life! Research shows that kids who have involved fathers are more likely to have:
- better cognitive outcomes, even as infants
- higher self-esteem and less depression as teenagers
- higher grades, test scores, and overall academic achievement
- lower levels of drug and alcohol use
- higher levels of empathy and other pro-social behavior
It's because of research like this that NFI's mission is focused on improving child well-being by making sure they have involved, responsible, and committed fathers. (Learn more about research data on the impact of father absence and benefits of father involving by visiting our research page.)
That's why this month we are giving you tips and advice on easy steps you can take today to be involved in your child's life! We'll also give you action steps on how you can become more involved with NFI, because we're here to help you!
