A List of Holiday "To Don'ts"

This holiday season, you probably have more than your fair share of things to do, so we've come up with a list of things that dads should not do during the holidays:

DON'T Try to Do Everything. You'll just burn out and you - and your kids - will end up miserable. Schedule in some down time and encourage your wife and kids to do the same.

DON'T Eat Too Much. You'll just regret it later. But, if you do...

DON'T Get Hung Up. So you had one (or ten) too many cookies. Tomorrow is a new day. Don't focus on what you did wrong and start new tomorrow. And if that doesn't work, New Year's resolutions are just around the corner...

DON'T Wait Until The Night Before To Buy Gifts. Which probably means that you should go shopping tonight...

DON'T Buy Gifts Without A Budget. At the very least, keep track of how much you are spending. Cash a little tight? Be creative in your gift-giving this year.

DON'T Forget To Have Fun. Build a snowman with your kids, watch a Holiday cartoon together, or go see a local Holiday event or show. Let your kids remind you of the wonder this season can bring.
