The Odd Life of Timothy Green: Magical Parenting Film

National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI) is proud to support the upcoming Disney film, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, opening on August 15 by Academy Award®–nominated director/writer Peter Hedges (“Dan in Real Life,” What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?”)
Hedges brings an inspiring, magical story about a happily married couple, Cindy and Jim Green (Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton), who can’t wait to start a family but can only dream about what their child would be like. When young Timothy (CJ Adams) shows up on their doorstep one stormy night, Cindy and Jim—and their small town of Stanleyville—learn that sometimes the unexpected can bring some of life’s greatest gifts.
The film contains many parenting lessons that are certain to entertain and inspire. Parents will laugh while watching the Green's learn from their mistakes and be inspired to cherish your children.
NFI wants fans to see the film from a parent's perspective. The film releases nation-wide on August 15. See below for more resources including the trailer. Check back over the next two weeks as we talk about the parenting themes inspired by the film.
