A couple of months ago we had a Father who received a "So You’re A New Dad" brochure while he was in the hospital room with his wife. This Dad was an experienced parent with a 7 year-old adopted daughter at home, but as this was his first time with a newborn, he was very nervous...the next day, he found the RSP coordinator at the hospital and was very excited. He explained that he had taken that brochure with him and read it while he was at work the night before. The information in it had changed his perspective on what his role was as a parent.

One mother stated that the brochure titled "How to Help Your Child Do Well In School" initiated a conversation with her husband on how he assists with the children’s homework and school activities.
