A man’s culture plays a significant role in how a man fathers. Therefore, increasing both facilitator’s and fathers’ understanding of the role that culture plays in shaping fathers knowledge and attitudes can make an important impact on their children.

What is the Let’s Celebrate Culture™ Workshop?

This half day workshop helps fathers explore how their culture and cultural behaviors and beliefs influence their fathering and introduces several universal fathering skills, such as nurturing. This workshop is practical for working with fathers who are members of American subcultures (e.g. African American and Hispanic American) and who are members of subcultures that are not well acculturated or who are not acculturated at all (e.g. recent immigrants).

How is it Used?

Intended for use as stand-alone workshops or as supplemental sessions to your fatherhood programming, Let’s Celebrate Culture™ is an affordable method for delivering fatherhood programming in as little as 3-4 hours.

What’s Included in the Workshop Manual

Let’s Celebrate Culture™ includes everything you need to easily facilitate your program and includes three activities designed to last 1 hour each with visual, hands-on activities and handouts. The downloadable workshop manual in PDF format is a convenient add-on to the 24/7 Dad™, InsideOut Dad™, and Doctor Dad™ programs, as well as most other fatherhood curricula, and equips facilitators to effectively engage and educate fathers from a variety of backgrounds.
