Fatherhood Resource Center Kiosk

What People Are Saying

Hundreds of Fatherhood Resource Center Kiosks are being used by organizations in all fifty states.  See what they have to say about how this innovative research has expanded their reach and helped their programs!

Success Stories

"We have received our Fatherhood Initiative materials!  These resources are extremely timely, as we've seen a significant increase in cases of "Shaken Baby Syndrome" at Camp Pendleton. I and my colleagues are confident that this is due to a lack of understanding of how to care for a baby properly. We are thankful to have resources to educate new military dads on how to respond to a baby's needs, how to childproof their home, etc. Last week, we briefed the 75 Family Readiness Officers (FROs) at our Council Meeting.  Everyone acknowledged the great need for these resources and are thrilled to have them. The FROs are very excited and are already asking for large quantities of resources for their units."
Meghan K. Jones
Director, Marine Corps Family Team Building, Camp Pendleton, CA

"The materials we received…have opened up many doors and opportunities for me to share the message that fathers are essential and irreplaceable in the lives of our children."
Brett Lund, Fatherhood Specialist
Davis School District Family Enrichment Center
(Kaysville, UT)

"All I can say is "LOVE IT!!"  The kiosk is wonderful as are the resource materials!  We have it up outside of the base library and plan
on moving it around throughout the installation.  Thank you !"
Michele Robertson
Flight Chief, Airman and Family Services, 72 Force Support Squadron

"Since receive the Fatherhood Rsource Center, we have already seen an impact the resources have had on the teen fathers we work with...we are now equipped with the materials and information needed to reach out to this underserved population."

Kristi Bates, Program Manager
Lutheran Social Sercies of Indiana (Fort Wayne, IN)

"The Fatherhood Resource Center, or the "Traveling Fatherhood Kiosk," as we call it, has been used...to raise the level of awarness about the important role of fathers...it has allowed us to network and collaborate with other organizations who are also committed to working with fathers."
Harvey Reid, Fatherhood Counselor
LeBonheur Community Outreach (Memphis, TN)

"The display center, the brochures, posters and teaching materials have enhanced our ability to reach out to fathers and assist them in playing a positive role in their children's lives...the brochures have quickly gone...and prompted a significant increase in referrals."
David Cardno, Director
Father and Child Resource Center (Stuart, FL)

"By offering materials that are father specific, fathers find a greater value in participating in activities provided by the center.  Also, the agencies we partner with immensely appreciate having materials and resources available that they can distribute or direct men to."
Brian Williams, Executive Director
Randolph County Caring Communities Partnership (Moberly, MO)

"The display is eye-catching and will help promote awareness of the importance of fathers in our program."
Cathy Reed, Director
Southern Illinois University Carbondale (Carbondale, IL)

"The literature on fatherhood, child safety, healthy relationships and marriage is displayed in our main entry in the parent resource area...This has added to the 'father-friendly' environment that we have strive for over the past 10 years."
Mike Kildee, Family/Community Support Coordinator
Bendle/Carman-Ainsworth (Flint, MI)

"The resource center has proven to be a very effective tool to raise parenting issues in an informative and non-threatening manner. I've witnessed the results of how effective they are and how adaptable they are at many levels.  The issues that the fathers read about in the pamphlets often become topics of discussion in marriage and family counseling. It's great to be able to give fathers practical tools to help them become more meaningfully involved with their children. We also make the Fatherhood literature available at community events. Thank you once again."
