Detroit father and husband Bill Pikarski has undergone an incredible journey after his wife Janet had an emergency C-section to deliver their triplets. For Mr. Pikarski, feedings and diaper changes aren’t the only responsibilities he has to juggle.
For nearly ten years now, Bill has battled symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis after being diagnosed with the disease in late 2002. Although he isn’t taken it lightly, the golf enthusiast was a bit comforted after learning the news. "It may sound odd that I was like relieved a little, but when it's that, ALS or a brain tumor, multiple sclerosis is the best out of those three," he said to Detroit Fox News affiliate WJBK.
Bill and Janet’s triplets are all growing healthy, although dad is a little worried that there may be a possibility he’s passed on the condition to his babies. Still, he remains positive as he dotes on his children with the same dedication he has in slowing down the progression of his disease.
"Of course, there's that fear that my three kids could get it, or one of them, and that would be horrible, but I handle it in a positive manner, so it's just going to be the same way I would teach them if they did have it and do whatever we could with it," he said.
