Spanked Kids = More Psych & Drug Ills Later: Says Study
Everyone has an opinion when it comes to spanking children as a discipline tactic. As with many parenting dilemmas, discipline of children has plenty of opinions. The NY Daily News article says researchers reported in the journal Pediatrics that “up to 7% of mental illnesses could be attributed to the punishment.”

Whether you have the opinion that spanking “done correctly” as discipline works or not, we shouldn’t take these topics of conversation lightly on either side. Consider the results and be careful, if you spank you kids or not, that you are mindful of potential consequences. It turns out that no matter what your thoughts of the study’s results, parenting matters.
