Why Do Dads Matter?

When dad doesn’t get involved, his children are two to three times more likely to:

  • Engage in drugs, alcohol, violent crimes, and other harmful behaviors
  • Drop out of school
  • Live in poverty
  • Face teenage pregnancy
  • Struggle with depression and even commit suicide

24 Million...

There are 24 million children affected by father absence.

That is more than the number of Americans living with all types of cancer, Alzheimer's, and AIDS, combined. The effects of wide-spread father absence on the health and well-being of children are severe.

Help Make an Impact

When you donate to our work, you’re investing in children, families, and communities. By connecting fathers to their children, heart to heart, we provide our children – and our nation – with a much-needed resource: involved, responsible, and committed fathers.
