NFI President Roland C. Warren spoke at National Healthy Start Association's recent Congressional Briefing on Infant Mortality. The U.S. has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the developed world, and there is a clear tie to father absence. Research shows that father absent homes have some of the highest rates of infant mortality. Programs like Doctor Dad are being used by organizations across the country to educate fathers and lower infant morality rates.
