Testimonials
Following are just a few testimonials from organizations who have received Capacity-Building grants and worked with National Fatherhood Initiative to improve the well-being of children by increasing the proportion of children growing up with involved, responsible, and committed fathers.
What our Awardees are Saying
"Today was another one of the most incredible days of my life. It
was a pleasure meeting Ron Clark [NFI Director of Community-Based Programming] and his wife Lisa. The information that our
organization has gained from being selected by the Capacity Building Grant has
absolutely been life changing; we are ready, willing and able to go to
another level."
Sheila Parker, 2009 Awardee
"I am so
excited, I just had to let you know. I conducted my first fatherhood
class using the InsideOut Dad’s curriculum. I have never worked in the
jail system before and did not know what to expect. I only had 6 dads
come to the first class, but it was great. At first, they were quiet and
did not really open up, but after we started talking, things picked up. I
am so geared up for the next session. I just want to thank all of you for
this opportunity to make a difference for fathers and their children. Again,
thank you so much!"

Honaker, 2009 Awardee
"I wanted to
let you know the news that our fatherhood program has just been awarded a 4 year
grant at $90,000 per year from the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families
Department!
Thank you
and all the NFI staff so very much for your support and technical assistance
helping us to get up to capacity in order to be able to receive such funding."
Crispin
Clarke, 2009 Awardee
"Through this grant and accompanying strategic plan we have infused our
agency, community and state with a heightened awareness of the critical role a
dad play s in the lives of his children. We thank you!"
Sue Dyer, 2009 Awardee
"I’d just
like to say that I believe that NFI and the Capacity-Building Initiative has
really taken the lead on fatherhood in America, and we are honored to have been
a recipient and to work with you all in addressing this issue in Nebraska. You’ve provided us with phenomenal resource
materials and curriculum."
Gregg Nicklas, 2008 Awardee
