Kirsten brings to National Fatherhood Initiative a deep dedication to helping strengthen children, families and communities, and strong experience in management, fundraising, consulting, and outreach. As VP of Development and Outreach, she is inspired by the ways in which individuals, foundations, companies and other organizations are helping further National Fatherhood Initiative’s valuable mission, through contributions to National Fatherhood Initiative and activities/partnerships with National Fatherhood Initiative.
She previously served as Executive Director of Princeton Project 55, a multi-generational not-for-profit organization mobilizing civic engagement. In addition, Kirsten managed after-school academic programs for K-8th graders in public schools, and facilitated charter school development. Kirsten also served as a consultant with McKinsey & Co., and as an Associate Director of Leadership Gifts for her undergrad alma mater, Princeton University, where she majored in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. She earned an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and an M.P.A. from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. She and her husband Bill live in Princeton, New Jersey.

Mike joined the National Fatherhood Initiative after graduating from Messiah College in May of 2003, where he majored in Politics and served as the student body president. He studied history and political theory at Oxford University in England for one semester during his junior year. He brings a sharp intellect and a passion for the issue to his job. As Director of Donor Relations, Mike is responsible for cultivating relationships with prospective and current donors and providing support to the President in his outreach to high dollar donors. In addition, Mike helps manage National Fatherhood Initiative’s outreach to corporations, supervises the Contributions Coordinator, and works to maintain the development database and finance plan. Mike and his wife Kelly reside outside of Baltimore, Maryland. During his free time, Mike enjoys running, hiking, camping and watching the Yankees.

Before joining the staff of National Fatherhood Initiative in July 2001, Janet spent most of her twenty-two years of government service as a Program Analyst with the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health. In addition to serving as Contributions Coordinator, she now provides administrative support to the Development and Outreach Team as a whole. Janet also ensures that National Fatherhood Initiative is licensed and/or registered as necessary to provide services in all fifty states, and is also registered for the National Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) as well as for admission into selected individual state combined campaigns. Janet is the proud mother of four children and Nikky the parrot, and absolutely delights in her two grandchildren.

Dave has ten years of experience working in development and communications for organizations focused on marriage, fatherhood, and child well-being. He spent six years as associate director of the New York-based Institute for American Values. An attorney, David also practiced law for several years in New Jersey. He is a graduate of Drew University and Rutgers University Law School. He most enjoys spending time with his wife and three young sons.

Prior to joining National Fatherhood Initiative, Tom Patras served five years as Director of Development for Helping Up Mission, a Baltimore based non-profit that provides a one-year residential recovery program, emergency shelter and transitional housing for men battling drug addiction and homelessness. Katrina is a Grove City College alumnus, where she earned a B.S. in International Business in three years. During her time at Grove City, she also minored in French and studied abroad in London. Prior to working for the National Fatherhood Initiative Katrina worked for Frontiers International Travel agency for four years. Katrina originally joined the National Fatherhood Initiative as the Special Assistant to the President. As Manager of Outreach Katrina works to establish and maintain strategic partnerships and alliances for National Fatherhood Initiative, as well as heading up the "Host and Toast" and Double Duty Dad™ programs. Katrina is greatly involved with her church locally as well as the National Bible Quiz program.
