Domestic violence is a serious problem affecting families and communities. One in five women experience domestic violence at some time in their lives, and over 15 million children witness domestic violence each year.

Many funders require their grantees to address domestic violence (including the United States Department of Health and Human Services, the largest funder of fatherhood programs) either through direct service components or, at minimum, domestic violence protocols.

This resource will help you integrate a domestic violence component into your 24/7 Dad® program and includes:

  • Some background on why integrating a domestic violence component into 24/7 Dad® is important.
  • Information on why a domestic violence protocol is important and where to start to create one.
  • An overview of the Understanding Domestic ViolenceTM (UDV) FatherTopicsTM workshop. •Recommendations on how to integrate UDV into your 24/7 Dad® program
