This Father's Day Weekend, National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI) will hold the third annual Golden Dads Campaign. Golden Dads is a campaign to acknowledge and reward everyday dads from across the country as they interact with their children in zoos, parks, malls, museums, and other public places where families gather.

Last year, NFI searched places like ESPN Zone, Six Flags America, and several zoos in 10 cities across the country: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Orlando, and Washington, D.C. A total of over 1,000 great dads were awarded with special prize packages that included sponsor-donated prizes and a sampler of the Rendezvous Entertainment album, "Golden Slumbers, A Father's Love."

For 2005, NFI is increasing its efforts, combing over 20 hot locations nationwide, to find no less than 10,000 "Golden Dads,"! NFI, along with friends from Golden Slumbers, LLC, will be catching "Golden Dads" across the country! If you are a great dad -- make plans now to get caught being a "Golden Dad" in one of the 2005 Golden Dads Cities! 2005 Golden Dads will receive an official "Golden Dads" button, a copy of NFI's Directions for Dads™ CD-ROM, NFI's new "No Ifs" awareness bracelet, along with some great sponsor-provided incentives. Many dads will also receive a copy of the new album, Golden Slumbers - A Father's Love, featuring touching songs written and sung by fathers about their children! The album includes songs from a variety of artists including: Phil Collins, Smokey Robinson, Richard Marx, Dave Matthews, Jon Secada, Buddy Jewell and Michael McDonald.
