Become a Double Duty Dad

There are 24 million children in the United States today growing up in a home without their father. You probably know at least one.
As a dad yourself, you already have the skills and knowledge to be a great role model for a child. You can use your experience as a dad to make a difference to a fatherless child in your immediate circle of influence. At NFI, we call this being a Double Duty Dad™.
Be a Double Duty Dad™ to a child with whom you already have a personal, trusting relationship with the mother or guardian of that child, such as your neighbor, niece, nephew, or friends though church or your children's school. It can be as simple as taking your son’s friend to baseball practice, seeing a movie with your niece, or including a neighborhood child in your family activities (with their parent/guardian's permission.)
You can also be a Double Duty Dad™ by mentoring another father in his fathering journey and sharing what you've learned as a dad.
National Fatherhood Initiative is calling on our nation's fathers to step into the lives of the nation's fatherless children and become Double Duty Dads™. Our Double Duty Dad™ Guide will help you answer this call and will equip you to invest in a child or another father's life.
