We often ask the following question in training institutes on our fatherhood programs: “What is the greatest challenge in helping dads to be better dads?” Participants typically, and unfortunately, come up with a very long list. It isn’t always easy to help dads rise above and become the dads their children (and the mothers of their children) need them to be.

This post is the second in a three-part series in which I ask you to answer a question. (At the conclusion of the three weeks, I’ll compile the answers and present the results in a fourth post.) Each question is relevant to effective facilitation of fatherhood programs, a vital need to address in running fatherhood programs that National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI) tackles in our new online, on-demand Effective Facilitation Certificate.

Last week, I asked you this question:

  • What are the three (3) most vital characteristics of an effective fatherhood program facilitator?

Here is this week’s question:

  • What are the three (3) greatest challenges in helping dads to become the best dads they can be?

Look for the second question in my post next week!
