National Fatherhood Initiative® (NFI) seeks applications from organizations that want to partner with NFI to implement NFI's brand new 24/7 Dad® Key Behaviors Workshop within the community or communities they serve. Organizations offering this workshop will help fathers develop a set of behaviors that will help them become the best fathers possible.
This flexible workshop can be offered as a precursor to NFI’s evidence-based 24/7 Dad® program (A.M. or P.M. version), to graduates of the 24/7 Dad® program (either version) or as a stand-alone workshop to fathers who have never participated in a fatherhood skill-building program or workshop of any kind.

About NFINFI’s mission is to transform organizations and communities by equipping them to intentionally and proactively engage fathers in their children’s lives. NFI builds the capacity of community-based organizations that seek to begin or enhance fatherhood programs to benefit fathers, families, and especially children in their communities. Our services build capacity through father-friendly assessments, skills training, technical assistance, and strategic planning.
Opportunity for Father-Serving Organizations
Recently, NFI acquired funding to equip 30 direct-service providers from across the country to offer its new workshop for dads called the 24/7 Dad® Key Behaviors Workshop to increase the involvement of fathers in their children’s lives. These 30 direct-services providers will be among the first in the nation to acquire this unique workshop.
NFI will train and equip one facilitator from each of the 30 direct-service providers to offer this seven-hour workshop that can be facilitated with groups of fathers, delivered to fathers in a one-on-one context (e.g. case management), or in a virtual setting. This workshop can also take as little as one day to complete (if offered as an 8 hour event plus lunch and breaks).
Direct-service providers can offer the 24/7 Dad® Key Behaviors Workshop as:
- A precursor to NFI’s evidence-based 24/7 Dad® program (A.M. or P.M. version)
- To graduates of the 24/7 Dad® program (either version) or
- As a stand-alone workshop for any father.
NFI will provide the selected organizations with free training and material resources to effectively run the 24/7 Dad® Key Behaviors Workshop (i.e. curriculum kit, 20 fathering handbooks, additional web-based training, and supportive technical assistance).
