We often ask the following question in training institutes on our fatherhood programs: “How do you set the stage so you can effectively facilitate a fatherhood program?”
Participants often don’t have a lot of answers. That’s because it’s easy to bypass preparation and launch headlong into facilitation. But proper preparation can make the difference between a session going well or going poorly.
Each question is relevant to effective facilitation of fatherhood programs, a vital need to address in running fatherhood programs that National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI) tackles in our new online, on-demand Effective Facilitation Certificate™.
In the first two posts, I asked you these questions:
- What are the three (3) most vital characteristics of an effective fatherhood program facilitator?
- What are the three (3) greatest challenges in helping dads to become the best dads they can be?
There’s still time to respond to both questions. Just click here to provide your answers.
Here is this week’s question:
- What are the three (3) most critical steps to take in preparing to effectively facilitate a fatherhood program?
Click here to enter your answer. Be as brief as possible (i.e. one or a few words, or a short, simple sentence). Please enter no more than three steps. Fewer than three is fine. Please do not enter your answer as a comment on this post.
Look for my post coming soon in which I’ll provide the results of all three questions!
