NFI_Blog_WE_CANHere at NFI, child abuse prevention is near and dear to our heart. After all, fathers play an incredibly important role in helping to prevent child abuse.

It is a fact that the presence of a child’s father in the home lowers the likelihood that a child will be abused. One possible reason for this connection is the very important role that fathers often play as the “protector” of their children.

With April being Child Abuse Prevention Month, I wanted to be sure you were aware of our special partnership for April, and about several free resources you can use and share on your social media channels to work together to engage fathers in their children’s lives!

You might have seen the email we sent out announcing our partnership with the National Child Abuse and Neglect Technical Assistance and Strategic Dissemination Center (CANTASD).

They’re offering over 150 “WE CAN” inspirational social media posts for you to use and share! Their “WE CAN” initiative (Work to End Child Abuse and Neglect) features engaging images, positive messages, and links to child maltreatment prevention resources.

As one of their partners, we were asked to provide links to our most popular free resources that can be used by dads to be more involved in the lives of their children – we even included our popular ebook on how to be a father figure to a child whose dad isn’t around.

Click here to gain quick access to all of the posts to NFI resources that YOU can use and share on your social media sites. Then be sure to visit WE CAN to find more images with links to resources from other “WE CAN” partners that you can share.

Don’t miss out! We hope that you find these posts helpful, inspirational, and life-changing for the families you serve. If you have any questions about posting or sharing the “WE CAN” content, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me by email or phone.
